This is a gallery of a small selection of the engravings we have produced on pewter items through the last forty years.
The engraved motorbike is actually an "imperial" peter tankard that I engraved for my sister-in-law to give my younger brother for his Birthday.
The Kidney flask is a piece I engraved while on show., I don't remember where. The design was actually on a tankard and the customer liked the idea of the design on a flask.
The Guild of Assassins Logo from Terry Pratchett's Discworld, engraved on a tankard while at a Beer Festival.
The smoking devil was also engraved on a flask at a beer festival (Manchester I think). The customer sent me the artwork to my phone and I was able to produce this in about 2 hours.
The Dai Toxic design was engraved on a 4oz round flask, at a beer festival.
The Celtic cross was a design i produced for a friend and colleague at Norwich, this design was engraved on his flask and tankard.
The bird design (I think of it as a phoenix) was engraved for a customer at a convention in Birmingham. The artwork was supplied by the customer.
The Police badge was engraved on a cast pewter Goblet as a retirement present.
The picture below the police badge is a Pub or Hostelry logo from one of the south American countries, Brazil I Think. I engraved this on a pewter goblet while working in Glasgow. The customer didn't speak much English and I spoke no Brazilian but we managed to make each other understand.
The next one is another Discworld logo for the same customer as the previous one, this was engraved onto a pewter Goblet.
The Pewter pint glass was engraved in the workshop, with additions to the engraving while I was on show, again in Manchester.
The Black Sabbath Devil logo was engraved on a flask. The Celtic design tankard was engraved in the workshop. it took ages to get the effect just right as the tankard was quite an old piece and I wanted the engraving to look like it had aged with the tankard, rather thank been added much later.
The engraving of Tower Bridge is an unusual view, but I had to get this sort of view to fit it on the flask.
The Royal Engineers was also engraved on a hip flask.
The last 2 pictures are presentation plates for CAMRA (the Campaign for Real Ale) who I work quite closely with.
